The Inetgrated Management System the guarantee of customer satisfaction, environmental and health and safety at the work place management.

ELEKTROMETAL S.A., striving to achieve a significant position on the market, uses an ISO-based Integrated Management System. The Integrated Management System is a clearly defined documented and consistent system that enables effective and simultaneous management of numerous company aspects through the establishment and implementation of a uniform policy. Such aspects are following at Elektrometal: customer orientation combined with the functioning of a quality management system, environmental protection and occupational health and safety.

The Integrated Management System improves company effectiveness and efficiency in managing resources it possesses, minimises and optimises costs, defines clearly the competencies and responsibilities of employees and their readiness to meet both customer expectations and the expectations of other interested parties, and it also facilitates fulfilling of legal requirements relating to environmental protection and occupational safety. It assures prompt adapting of internal regulations to adjustments occurring in a current legal system.

The Integrated Management System is based on meeting the requirements of four standards

PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 – Quality management systems, defines requirements for an enterprise which objective is to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer expectations and comply with current legislative requirements, and to enhance customer satisfaction.
PN-EN 13980:2004 – Potentially explosive atmospheres – Application of quality systems, defines requirements for supply of products intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, compliant with the type as described in an “EC type-examination certificate”.
PN-EN ISO 14001:2005 – Environmental management systems, defines requirements relating to compliance with legislative requirements governing this area, and it also standardises formulation of strict internal procedures concerning environmental protection. The system takes into account process control and management in order to optimise environmental impacts according to the principles of sustainable company development.
PN-N-18001:2004 – Occupational health and safety management systems, specifies requirements for activities taken in an OH&S area. The standard lays down principles according to which an enterprise can minimise and monitor hazards for employees, prevent risks at source, use new technical solutions, replace hazardous means by non-hazardous or less hazardous means, improve an existing Occupational Health and Safety Management system, and also assure proper working conditions.

Integrated Management System Certification

The Company has obtained certificates No. JBS-49/1/2003 (PCBC) and No. PL-JBS-49/1/2003 (IQNet), issued by Polskie Centrum Badań i Certyfikacji (PCBC – Polish Centre for Testing and Certification), acknowledging the conformity of an implemented management system with normative requirements.
The following constitute the basis of activities taken by the Company: meeting of the requirements of customers, enterprise employees and interested parties and striving to achieve customer satisfaction.
This objective is attained through the identification of:

  • customer requirements, meeting them during the realization of products and services and the analysis of customer expectations to enhance the level of customer satisfaction,
  •  hazards occurring at workplaces, the estimation of related occupational risk and taking actions to improve occupational health and safety,
  • the identification and assessment of environmental aspects related to enterprise activity and taking actions to limit environmental impact by the enterprise.

Company Integrated Management System Policy

Rich design and manufacturing output of Elektrometal S.A. being the result of a long experience, numerous and highly skilled personnel is the basis of a significant position in design and manufacturing achieved by the enterprise.
Continuous improvement of quality of manufactured products and provided services is the guiding principle of Elektrometal S.A. These tasks are achieved in environmentally friendly conditions with a simultaneously assured high level of occupational safety.

Bearing in mind the satisfaction of customers, employees and other interested parties and the meeting of their growing requirements and expectations  Elektrometal S.A. implements pro-quality actions that include:

  • continuous improvement of processes and the level of quality of manufactured products and provided services, with a special attention focused on extractive industry problems relating to occupational safety, environmental protection, engineering and technological innovation,
  • modernisation of production, measuring and testing equipment and increasing of contacts with leading scientific bodies at home and abroad,
    development of enterprise engineering staff and ongoing improvement of skills by all the employees,
  • improvement of design and testing methods taking into consideration standards and legislative requirements harmonised with European Union requirements,

When specific work is performed, Elektrometal S.A. activity is connected with noise emission to the environment, pollution emission to the atmosphere, generation of waste products, wastewater discharge, as well as the occurrence of hazards at the work stations, therefore pro-environmental actions, first of all, aim at:

  • preventing pollution emissions to the environment,
  • reducing noise emission,
  • segregation of occurring waste products in order to assure their recycling or safe disposal,
  • control of a rational water consumption and preventing the exceeding of acceptable pollution indicators in wastewater discharged to the municipal sewerage system and surface waters,
  • reducing electrical and heat energy losses,

  • meeting legislative requirements relating to environmental protection, improving environmental awareness among the employees of the enterprise, and especially those whose work has a significant environmental impact,

  • reliable reporting the environmental impact of the enterprise to interested parties.

Elektrometal S.A. activities also aim at continuous improvement of the level of occupational health and safety, including:

  • eliminating of work accidents and assuring safety for the employees and customers during work carried out at enterprise premises,
  • preventing of occupational diseases,
  • meeting of legislative requirements relating to occupational health and safety,
  • creating of safe employee approaches and attitudes in the enterprise by means of ongoing improvement of their skills and their participation in actions focused on occupational health and safety.
